Toasty, also known as Declan, is a sentient toaster created by James and Max and the main antagonist of this series. He first appears in Raising Toasty.
Appearance[]
Body[]
Toasty is a regular toaster but has a chip installed from a smart refrigerator, granting him dotted eyes and a mouth. When he’s evil he has sharp teeth and red eyes. When he appears in Toasty’s Goodbye, he wears braces and has pimples.
Personality[]
Toasty started as an innocent toaster with love for his fathers to share, but when they started arguing it made Toasty a very mad toaster. Because he was too aggressive for the world, James had no choice but to remove the chip, which caused Toasty to go down, or so they thought. It is revealed in Nugget Nonsense that he survived.
Background[]
Toasty was originally gonna have nipples.
Creation[]

Toasty gooping
As a toaster overheated a slice of bread, ruining James and Max's perfect sleepover, James was obliged to create a 'smart toaster'. Max bit a computer chip out of the refrigerator and put it inside the toaster, birthing what James would call Toasty.
Future[]
After having wreaked havoc due to James and Max's constant arguing, he would regain sentience although seemingly having been deactivated. Being evil, he would become an emperor in the far future, ridding the world of processed food. In the end of Toasty's Goodbye, Toasty has a change of heart. Unfortunately, Max didn't know this and he ended up killing his only son.
Relationships[]
James[]
James is Toasty's father. James was more caring to him, which conflicted with Max's way of parenting.
Max[]
Max is Toasty's second father. Max treated him as an experiment, due to his troubled 'childhood' of being one himself, leading him to force Toasty to do his purpose, which conflicted with James' way of parenting.
Echo[]
Echo seems to have a grudge against Toasty, as she states that he is the reason processed food doesn’t exist in the future.
